Mission Work

It is the elder’s desire to keep you informed of the mission efforts of the Broad Street congregation. Therefore, on the first Sunday of each month a report of the previous month’s mission efforts will be published in the Mission Report Bulletin. Page four will contain a list of all of our mission points. We will also highlight one or two of the works that we support. This will help you to become more aware of our efforts, the progress and the struggles that our missionaries face daily. Each month we receive several requests for assistance with one-time support for campaigns and other mission efforts; there will be a list of these and the amounts that we send. There will also be a short article on the importance of world evangelism. It is the prayer and desire of the elders and missions committee to keep you up to date of all mission activities. If you have questions about the missions program, please contact any of the committee members or the elders and your questions will be addressed.

Introducing the Missions Committee

James Gurley, Johnnie Meggs, Gerald Stephens, Tracy Tylor, Dwayne Waddle and Larry Waymire make up the committee at this time. It is their responsibility to view each request received and make recommendations to the elders. They have a meeting on the second Wednesday of each month to discuss the missions program, evaluate new requests and discuss existing works. Any of these men will be glad to answer your questions concerning the missions program. Please remember them in your prayers as they serve in this capacity.
